Clancy Construction proudly continued its tradition of giving back for Christmas 2024 by donating a total of €22,500 to five outstanding organisations: Cameo Care, Little Blue Heroes Foundation, Dublin Simon Community, St. Vincent de Paul Ireland, and the National Breast Cancer Research Institute. Each of these charities plays a vital role in supporting communities across Ireland, and we are honoured to contribute to their incredible work.
€5,000 to Cameo Care: Supporting Dementia Day Care Services
Cameo Care provides a much-needed day care service for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Their person-centered approach creates a safe and homely environment, where clients can enjoy enriching activities like art and music. These services not only enhance the quality of life for individuals living with dementia but also offer their families essential respite. By reducing social isolation and promoting physical and emotional wellbeing, Cameo Care helps clients remain at home for longer. Clancy Construction is honoured to donate €5,000 to support this vital work.

€5,000 to Little Blue Heroes Foundation: Supporting Young Heroes
The Little Blue Heroes Foundation is dedicated to helping families of children with serious illnesses by providing financial and emotional support. This year, we had the privilege of hosting Roisin Crowe, her mother Carol, and her brother Sean, a Site Engineer with Clancy Construction, along with members of An Garda Síochána from Clonmel Station. Together, Clancy representatives presented a €5,000 donation to this inspiring foundation. We are proud to stand behind their mission of bringing hope and happiness to families facing difficult times.

€2,500 to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute: Advancing Research and Awareness
Breast cancer research saves lives, and the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) is at the forefront of this mission. Clancy Construction contributed €2,500 to NBCRI’s Christmas Campaign to support their groundbreaking research efforts. Patrick Casey, NBCRI’s Director of Operations, expressed gratitude for the continued partnership, highlighting the strides being made in breast cancer research thanks to dedicated supporters. This collaboration exemplifies the power of corporate support in driving scientific advancement.

€5,000 to Dublin Simon Community: Empowering a ‘Community of Hope’
This year, Clancy Construction supported Dublin Simon Community through their ‘Community of Hope’ art exhibition, an initiative spearheaded by our Project Manager, John O’Donnell. Our €5,000 contribution included €2,000 for framing, €500 for opening costs, and €2,500 for artwork purchases. These funds helped raise over €70,000 to provide critical support for Dublin Simon’s life-saving services. Associate Director Ian Smilie joined John O’Donnell to present some of the purchased artwork at our St. Laurence’s site, reinforcing our commitment to addressing homelessness and housing insecurity.

€5,000 to St. Vincent de Paul: Supporting Vulnerable Communities
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP) offers an extensive range of services to support vulnerable individuals and families, including housing, day care, resource centers, and holiday schemes. Clancy Construction is proud to contribute €5,000 to SVP to aid their mission of fostering community and providing essential services. This donation is part of our commitment to creating a more inclusive and caring society.
A Tradition of Giving Back
Clancy Construction’s Annual Christmas Charity Initiative is rooted in our belief that businesses can be a force for good. By supporting these five exceptional organisations, we hope to bring joy and relief to individuals and families during the holiday season. We thank our partners, staff, and community for making this possible and look forward to continuing this tradition of giving in the years to come.
