Clancy Construction is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Energy Efficiency Initiative Award at the 2025 ESG Awards, hosted by Business & Finance Media Group in partnership with Grant Thornton Ireland. The prestigious event took place at Dublin’s Mansion House on Thursday, where leading companies were honoured for their commitment to environmental, social, and governance excellence.
Honouring Our Team and Strategy
The award was graciously accepted on stage by Francis O’Herlihy, David Rispin, Rachael Vespa Clancy, and Tom O’Malley, representing the entire Clancy team and the shared values we champion.
This recognition reinforces what we at Clancy Construction hold dear – sustainability is a core value, not just a goal. Our company’s Sustainability Strategy is closely aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is actively embedded in our operations from the ground up.
Transforming Energy Efficiency Across Operations
Between 2021 and 2024, Clancy implemented a series of targeted, high-impact initiatives aimed at reducing our environmental footprint and driving innovation in energy use across all sites. Our award-winning programme includes:
- 🔍 Data-Driven Energy Tracking: Comprehensive analysis across projects to identify and act on energy-saving opportunities.
- 🔋 Hybrid Generators with Battery Storage: Reducing diesel consumption by up to 80% through innovative hybrid power systems on-site.
- ☀️ Renewable Energy Adoption: Solar panels and a biomass boiler installed at our facilities to harness clean, sustainable power.
- 🚗 Greening Our Fleet: Transitioning to electric vehicles (EVs) alongside smart fleet monitoring to minimise transport-related emissions.
- 📈 Continuous Energy Reporting: Monthly tracking and reporting of energy performance to ensure measurable, consistent improvement.
A Shared Commitment to a Sustainable Future
We extend our congratulations to all the finalists and winners at this year’s ESG Awards. To be recognised among such forward-thinking and impactful organisations is an honour in itself.
At Clancy Construction, we remain committed to leading the way in sustainable building and operational practices. This award is not just a milestone — it’s a reaffirmation of our dedication to a greener, more sustainable future for all.
