Clancy Management Day 2025 at Mount Juliet

The 2025 Clancy Management Day took place in November at the stunning Mount Juliet Estate, returning for our second year in a row to a venue that has quickly become a favourite in the Clancy calendar. Set against beautiful surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere, the day provided a valuable opportunity for leaders from across the business to come together, reflect on progress, and focus on the road ahead.

From inspiring presentations in the morning to a powerful team workshop and an evening of well-deserved recognition, Management Day 2025 captured everything that makes Clancy special: ambition, teamwork, community spirit and pride in our people.

Setting the Direction: Company Strategy Presentation

The morning session opened with a presentation from Managing Director John O’Shaughnessy, who shared the company strategy and outlined Clancy’s priorities for the years ahead. His address gave a clear and confident view of our direction, reinforcing the importance of continued growth, strong delivery for our clients, and developing a business where people feel supported and motivated to succeed.

It was also an important moment for the management team to align on goals and connect the strategic vision to everyday leadership across the organisation.

An Energising Keynote from David Meade

We were delighted to welcome David Meade as our keynote speaker. He delivered a highly engaging session, combining insight, humour and thought-provoking challenges around leadership, mindset and performance.

His talk struck a chord with the room and encouraged meaningful reflection on how we communicate, collaborate and bring the best out of our teams. The themes he introduced continued to resonate throughout the day.

“Give A Hand”: A Workshop with Real-World Impact

A standout feature of Management Day was our workshop with Lightbulb Teams’ Give A Hand programme. Working in groups, the Clancy management team successfully built 25 prosthetic hands, each one destined to transform the life of someone we may never meet, somewhere across the world.

While the impact of the hands themselves was remarkable, what truly stood out was the atmosphere in the room. The sense of teamwork, emotion and collective purpose was something genuinely special. Teams supported one another throughout the build, and the shared pride at the end of the session was unmistakable, a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together behind a meaningful goal.

Recognising Excellence at the Gala Dinner

The day concluded with a gala dinner, where colleagues gathered to celebrate achievements and recognise exceptional contributions across the business.

Seamus Callanan was presented with the John Clancy Memorial Award, a significant honour recognising outstanding commitment and contribution to the company. The award was presented by Gerry, Pat and Billy Clancy, and Seamus was warmly applauded by colleagues for the impact of his work.

The DIY SOS Mooncoin team were also recognised for their incredible efforts, receiving the Teddy Morrissey Award in acknowledgement of their dedication and community impact.

Both awards highlighted the standard of excellence and the spirit of service that runs through Clancy.

A Thoughtful Partnership: Thomp2 Socks

As part of the Management Day goody bags, every attendee received a pair of Thomp2 Socks, a small but meaningful addition that reflected the purpose-led tone of the day.

Thomp2 is an Irish family-created brand inspired by Thomas Barry, a young man born with Down’s Syndrome and significant health challenges. Thomas’s love for colourful socks led to the creation of the business, which celebrates creativity, inclusion and independence while donating 5 percent of all sales to support the Down’s Syndrome community and Thomas’s care.

It was a privilege to share this story with our team and support a brand built on values closely aligned with our own.

Looking Back on a Special Day

Clancy Management Day 2025 was a fantastic occasion, one that blended strategic focus with genuine connection, meaningful impact and well-earned celebration. Returning to Mount Juliet for a second year only reinforced the strength of the experience, and the energy throughout the day reflected the best of Clancy.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising the event, and to all who contributed to making it such a success. Days like this remind us that our progress as a business is rooted not only in plans and projects, but in the people who bring them to life, and in the way we support each other as one team.
