Reflecting on our Christmas charity support as we begin 2026

As we start 2026, Clancy Construction would like to reflect on the charities and community organisations we were proud to support during the Christmas period and throughout the past year. In lieu of corporate gifts at the end of 2025, Clancy focused on directing support to organisations that provide essential care, support vulnerable individuals and families, and protect important community and heritage assets across Ireland.

These contributions reflect our ongoing commitment to social value and to supporting the communities in which we live and work.

The Mater Hospital Foundation

Clancy made a €5,000 donation to the Mater Hospital Foundation, which plays a vital role in enhancing patient care at the Mater Public Hospital. The Foundation supports comfort, dignity and world class care through investment in medical equipment, facilities and welcoming healing spaces for patients and families. This support was particularly meaningful as Clancy is currently delivering works at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, strengthening our connection to the hospital and its mission to deliver excellence in healthcare.

The donation was presented by David Rispin (left) of Clancy Construction to Paddy Galsworthy, Corporate Partnerships Manager at the Mater Foundation.

Purple House Cancer Support

A €5,000 donation was also made to Purple House Cancer Support in Bray. Purple House supports more than 1,700 families each year, offering a wide range of services including counselling, complementary therapies, children and teens programmes, hospital transport, rehabilitation physiotherapy, nutritional support, classes and survivorship programmes. This donation helps ensure skilled counsellors and volunteers are available to support children, teenagers and adults during cancer treatment and long after treatment has ended.

L/R – David Rispin of Clancy Construction presented the cheque John Woods, Chairperson of Purple House, Margaret Byrne Accounts and Evelyn Gaffney PA to CEO & COD.

Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles

Clancy was proud to support the Cathedral of the Assumption in Thurles with a €5,000 donation towards its ongoing conservation and restoration works. One of Ireland’s most significant places of worship, the Cathedral sits at the heart of the Thurles community. The donation supports the wider fundraising campaign aimed at preserving this historic building for future generations as it approaches its 150th anniversary, ensuring it continues to serve as a place of faith, heritage and community life.

The cheque was presented to Fr Jim Purcell (left) and John McCormack (right), with Seamus Callanan (centre) of Clancy Construction.

Society of St Vincent de Paul

Clancy also supported the Society of St Vincent de Paul during the Christmas period. The organisation provides essential assistance to individuals and families experiencing hardship, offering practical support, compassion and dignity to those in need. Demand for these services is particularly high during the winter months, making this support especially important at Christmas time.

Lightbulb Teams

Earlier in the year, Clancy was delighted to support Lightbulb Teams as part of our Management Day. Lightbulb Teams delivers inclusive programmes that create opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate, build confidence and develop skills through teamwork and activity. Supporting Lightbulb Teams reinforced the importance of inclusion, participation and social impact within our organisation and across our leadership team.

At Clancy Construction, giving back is an important part of who we are. We are proud to support organisations that deliver meaningful and lasting impact within our communities.

We would like to sincerely thank our staff, clients, subcontractors and supply chain partners. Their continued commitment and collaboration make initiatives like these possible, and we look forward to building on this work together throughout 2026.
