John O’Shaughnessy Appointed President of Tipperary Chamber

Clancy is proud to congratulate our Managing Director, John O’Shaughnessy, on his appointment as President of County Tipperary Chamber, a role that reflects both his long standing commitment to regional business development and his strong leadership within the construction sector.

John officially assumed the presidency following the formal handover at the Chamber’s President’s Lunch at the Anner Hotel in Thurles, an event attended by business leaders, Chamber members and stakeholders from across the county. The occasion marked the transition of leadership and provided an opportunity to reflect on the Chamber’s ongoing role in supporting business growth and economic development across Tipperary.

The appointment comes at an important time for businesses in the region. With continued focus on economic resilience, regional competitiveness, infrastructure investment and enterprise growth, the Chamber plays a critical role in representing and advocating for businesses at both local and national level. In his new role, John will work closely with Chamber members, policymakers and community stakeholders to ensure the voice of Tipperary’s business community is strongly represented, while also supporting initiatives that encourage innovation, investment and sustainable development throughout the county.

John brings significant experience to the position through his leadership at Clancy and his engagement with industry and regional stakeholders. His presidency will focus on practical delivery, meaningful collaboration and strengthening the environment for businesses to grow and thrive in Tipperary.

Clancy also wishes to acknowledge and thank outgoing President Sarah Fogarty for her dedication and leadership over the past two years. During her tenure, the Chamber continued to strengthen its support for local businesses while fostering strong connections across the regional enterprise community.

On behalf of everyone at Clancy, we are extremely proud to see John take on this important leadership role. We look forward to supporting the work of the Chamber during his presidency and wish him every success in the year ahead.
