Clancy Achieves ISO 50001 Certification

Clancy Construction is proud to announce that we have achieved ISO 50001:2018 certification for our Energy Management System, marking another significant milestone in our commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.

ISO 50001 is the internationally recognised standard for energy management and provides a structured framework for organisations to improve energy performance, increase efficiency, reduce energy consumption and minimise environmental impact. The certification covers energy use across our construction projects nationwide, as well as associated operations at our headquarters in Drangan, Co. Tipperary.

Achieving this certification demonstrates Clancy ongoing commitment to embedding sustainable practices throughout our business. Through the implementation of a comprehensive Energy Management System, we have established processes to monitor, measure and continually improve how energy is used across our operations. This enables us to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, reduce waste and support the transition to a lower carbon construction industry.

The certification is the result of a collaborative effort involving teams across the organisation. From project sites and operational teams to our Sustainability Department and leadership team, colleagues throughout the business have played an important role in driving energy awareness and integrating best practices into day to day activities.

The ISO 50001 framework supports continuous improvement, ensuring that energy considerations are incorporated into decision making processes ranging from site establishment and equipment selection to procurement and office operations. It provides a clear pathway for reducing energy consumption while maintaining the high standards of quality and performance expected by our clients and partners.

As Clancy continues to deliver projects across Ireland, this achievement further strengthens our commitment to building in a more sustainable and environmentally responsible manner. By improving energy performance and reducing our environmental footprint, we are creating long term value for our clients, supply chain partners, employees and the communities in which we work.
