Reconfiguration and Extension to Paediatric Services at Cork University Hospital

The Project consists of the construction of a 2 storey extension built over an existing single storey paediatric building. The project also consists of the partial refurbishment of the ground floor of the existing paediatric unit, the complete refurbishment of the haemotology unit, refurbishment of the existing oratory space at first floor level including stair / lift cores and a link bridge to the main hospital building. The total floor area of the project works were 3000m2.

There was also extensive drainage and services installed This project was carried out within a live hospital environment in which existing operations of the hospital were maintained and protected during the works. This project was an extremely confined site with traffic management, dust and noise constraints.
