The refurbishment of Mount Carmel Community Hospital, transforming it into the HSE South Dublin Surgical Hub – the first of six hubs nationwide designed to reduce waiting lists and improve patient care. The new 1st Floor Clinical Hub is accompanied with admin and support rooms. This will provide essential services, ensuring quicker access to day-case treatments for many. This state-of-the-art facility is fully digital and environmentally conscious, eliminating paper use and nitrous oxide in theatres. The new hub is the first of six hubs opening nationwide, with more to come in Cork, Galway, Waterford, Limerick, and Swords over the next two years.
