University College Cork Brookfield Health Science Complex – ASSERT Centre
The proposed works comprised of the construction of a four storey extension to the existing Brookfield Health Sciences Complex. The area of the new extension (Assert Centre Project) is circa 2,435m2 with a fit-out area of approximately 75% of the new extension.
The Assert Centre comprises of training and research facilities for the College of Medicine and Health and includes conference rooms, offices, hi fidelity suites, mock ward, multi-function research labs, audiology training lab and ancillary facilities.
This project was carried out in a live 3rd level educational campus which involved detailed traffic management to ensure the daily activities of the University were not affected.
How we overcame the challenge
Clancy worked closely with the University technical staff to ensure daily activities would not be affected while maintaining programme progress.
This project was delivered safely and on time, within budget to a very high standard finish and safely.
